NO GLORY

"Is being told what one is looking at as great as simply seeing?  For what I see is what it is before the words can come to me. What can I say that does not aim to take this simple truth away? When I explain the image do I make it greater, or do I swell my self-image with presumptive knowledge? And when I do explain is it not fair to leave a space for what I cannot know? A space of you...No glory to myself."  -M.I. Holguin

This work is about exploring space, what it means, and how we place ourselves in it-but it is also about beauty, wonder, and finding stillness.
